Belonging, Connection, and Nature: Coming Home Together
With DaRa Williams, Erin Treat, Sebene Selassie and Solwazi Johnson (Assistant)
June 2 - 7, 2017
The inspiration to offer this retreat emerged from its teachers, as a result of many years of being together in dharma practice, teaching, and spiritual friendship. The retreat will be grounded in the teachings of the Four Noble Truths, the refuges, and the practices of lovingkindness and compassion. This unique retreat will offer regular vipassana instruction, with particular attention both to the gifts of practicing in wild nature and the power of coming together in relationship as we explore our ways of belonging and what prevents us from our inherent interconnection to all. We will explore how to connect with one another and how we harvest the gifts of the present moment known with wise attention. On this retreat there will be silence and individual practice, and we will also engage in inquiry and sharing through relational dharma practice as part of the context of the retreat.
Special Note for this retreat:
To achieve the desired retreat container for this experience, we are currently accepting registrations for people of color and we will be temporarily wait-listing applicants who do not self-identify as people of color. This will ensure a rich, diverse and balanced group for the retreat. To be added to the wait list, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will email you by February 28 to inform you of your acceptance of wait list status. Thank you for your understanding.
